SPIEL Essen releases by Deep Print Games published by Pegasus Spiele
Friedberg, December 08, 2025: This fall, Pegasus Spiele publishing partner Deep Print Games released three new games: the cooperative deck-building expert game Deckers, the euro core game Skybridge, set in a fantasy universe created by Franz Vohwinkel, and the family trick-taking game Ghostbumpers. Additionally, an expansion was released for the expert game Civolution—Acceptance Letter. All are now available exclusively from Pegasus Spiele.
Ghostbumpers is a fast-paced trick-taking game for three to six players aged eight and up. The core of this family game is a simple mechanism: whoever plays the highest card in the round wins the trick. However, players want to stay in control of how many tricks they win, because for each they must reveal a card from their character deck. If they reveal too many and expose their scared card, their character will be frightened away by the monsters, will score no points, and the round ends. However, everyone else will collect points for the round. Ghostbumpers may be simple at its core, but creates exciting and turbulent rounds: some cards cause multiple character cards to be revealed, a scoring option for daredevils exists to win extra points, and it is possible to play several identical cards in order to alter its value—for example, playing two 7 cards will result in a final value of 2.7. Ghostbumpers is designed by Inka and Markus Brand, illustrated by Annika Heller, and stands out both for its delightful mechanics and its light-hearted theme of monsters riding bumper cars at the fairground.
Deckers, on the other hand, is a cooperative title set in a dystopian future that is aimed at experienced gamers who enjoy complex rule sets. It is designed by Richard Wilkins, illustrated by Lukas Siegmon, and can be played solo or with up to four players aged 12 and up. The goal of the game is to hack into a supercomputer to end its reign and free humanity from its grasp. To do so, players compete against one of seven unique super-massive computers with varying degrees of difficulty. Using their individual hacker character abilities and associated card decks, they carefully coordinate their actions while expanding their control of the computer system attempting to fulfil the goal of the final objective card. However, the self-aware computer fights back against this intrusion and will attack players every round by sending out dangerous sparks and guardians for protection. Players will choose between ten different deckers, seven super-massive computers, and 40 objective cards, ensuring that every game of Deckers offers countless new challenges.
With Skybridge by Franz Vohwinkel and Michael Rieneck, players are immersed in a completely unique world. As inhabitants of Thraen, a hollow world in a universe made of stone, they strive to build a bridge to the Beeledhan’s Eye, a small planet located in the centre of this world that promises fertile land. Each player controls a character who represents one of the factions of Thraen. Even though they share a common goal—to complete the Skybridge—all are competing to accumulate the most power points. These are gained by constructing the bridge, winning the favour of the Godhs, keeping the rebels in check, and employing garrisons. Central to the game is a card activation mechanism in which players continually receive new cards and must add them as efficiently as possible to their hand, which is activated each round. When the fourth segment of the Skybridge is under construction, players should also have a Drakhen in their display, because construction will continue from Beeledhan’s Eye, which the construction crews can only reach from the backs of these flying creatures. Skybridge offers two to four players aged twelve and up an exciting gaming experience in a fantasy world created by Franz Vohwinkel, who also illustrated the core game.
The Acceptance Letter expansion for Stefan Feld’s expert game Civolution is now also available. It contains three mini-expansions that can be added to the base game individually or together: six additional starting attribute chips, fifteen level 4 module upgrades, and—as a new game element—six unique creatures that can be hunted, tamed, and fed to receive valuable bonuses.
