Pegasus Spiele releases card game I AM DONE
Friedberg, December 20, 2024: The family game I AM DONE, published by Pegasus Spiele at SPIEL Essen 2024, offers players chaotic, ludicrous gaming fun with compact, simple rules. Over 70 cards, illustrated by 30 artists, stand in the middle of the comical title, in which the first person to have the cards “I”, “AM” and “DONE” in front of them wins – at least in theory.
In the unpredictable card game I AM DONE, which is filled to the brim with crazy humor, the players draw a card or play one in each round. Everything else is written on the cards themselves. The aim of the game is to collect the three cards “I”, “AM” and “DONE”. However, this initially simple task is complicated by action cards such as “Lucky you!”, “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe”, “Pass it around” and “Chaos”. Players may suddenly find all the cards in their hand are redistributed, or the hard-earned cards have to be involuntarily handed over to others. The unpredictable twists and turns not only thwart plans, but can also lead to victory at the right moment. For example, the person to the left wins as soon as the “Kingmaker” is played. The useless card “Time is relative” also leads to immediate victory – but only if it is exactly 9:34 pm.
The more than 70 cards of this interactive family game for two to five people aged eight and up are not only striking for their crazy actions, but perhaps more so for their amazing illustrations, which were created by 30 artists from around the world. The I AM DONE website provides an overview of many of the illustrators.
I AM DONE by Marco Teubner doesn’t take itself too seriously and provides laughs and incredulous faces in equal measure.Thanks to the simple and compact rules, it is also ideal as a party game which might be finished in five minutes or 20 minutes thanks to its unpredictable twists and turns.
