Pegasus Spiele releases the deduction game Bomb Busters

Friedberg, October 10, 2024: 66 replayable missions, five secret boxes with additional material and plenty of thrills: The co-operative family game Bomb Busters was published by Pegasus Spiele first at SPIEL Essen 2024. The goal of each mission in this deduction game is to safely defuse a bomb by cutting pairs of matching numbered wires, before time runs out.

In Bomb Busters, two to five players aged ten and up are bomb disposal experts who have trained to work together to defuse increasingly dangerous and complex bombs. Over 66 unique missions with increasing levels of difficulty, players will have their communication and coordination skills pushed to the limit.

To successfully disarm an explosive device, all the bomb’s matching pairs of wires must be cut before the explosion occurs. The 48 wires are numbered from one to twelve and each number appears on exactly four wire tiles. The challenge is that players can only ever see their own set of wires and therefore must deduce where the matching wires are placed on their teammates’ stands. Each turn, whether a player successfully cuts a wire pair or not, more information will be gradually revealed about the wire values of every player. However, you must proceed carefully: whenever a mistake is made, the bomb’s timer ticks one step closer to detonation. The red cable is particularly dangerous: if it is ever cut – BOOM – the team fails and the game ends immediately. Yellow cables add an extra challenge, while a random set of available equipment cards can prove to be critically helpful in tricky situations.

Thanks to the increasingly challenging missions and five surprise boxes with additional rules and components, Bomb Busters is an ever-evolving deduction game that can be enjoyed by both families and advanced players.Teamwork, deduction, and strategic thinking are the keys to success in this game by Hisashi Hayashi! No components are actually cut or altered during play—all game components remain intact. The 66 unique missions in Bomb Busters can be enjoyed and replayed endlessly.
