Paws Up published by Pegasus Spiele

Friedberg, September 9, 2025: The new card game Paws Up was released by Pegasus Spiele in June. In this family game by Reiner Knizia, players try to score points by cleverly swapping cute animal photos and collecting the most likes.

In Paws Up, two to five players aged eight and above take on the roles of petfluencers who post cute animal pictures and stories on the new social media platform Paws Up to try and gain as many likes as possible. A game lasts 15-30 minutes and runs over 13 rounds, each consisting of three phases. First, all players start with a random hand of five photo cards then, in the first phase, the display is created consisting of three new photo cards.

Next, everyone secretly chooses a card from their hand that they want to swap with one from the display, then simultaneously reveals it. Swaps will be made consecutively, according to the number of paws on the selected card. Players try to collect sets of cards that form stories and collect lucrative paws. To do so, the collected cards must share the same background, the same animal or the same number of paws. Players who succeed are rewarded with valuable story cards that score additional paw points. The faster the story is completed, the higher the paw yield! The player who has collected the most paws at the end of the game wins.

Paws Up by Reiner Knizia, with adorable animal illustrations by Stephan Lorenz, is a clever set collection game and is available now.
