Bloom Kingdom by Deep Print Games published by Pegasus Spiele
Friedberg, 24 July 2026: In the card game Bloom Kingdom by Deep Print Games, which is being distributed exclusively by Pegasus Spiele, players place cards into a shared display over the course of three rounds. Good timing is essential when deciding whether to strengthen a character further or to score points instead.
The Bloom Kingdom deck contains ten copies each of ten different character cards – ranging from the Jester to the Dragon and the Queen. Once the two to five players have received their hand cards, they play cards into the shared display until each player has only two cards left in their hand. Then comes the first of a total of three scoring rounds: the more cards of a particular character are on display, the more valuable that character becomes – but only the two remaining cards in a player’s hand determine which scoring conditions are triggered this time and potentially earn points. All ten characters have different scoring conditions, which are also linked to other characters.
Furthermore, immediate effects triggered when playing cards can repeatedly have a significant impact, for example when cards are allowed to be removed from the game. The course of the game thus remains unpredictable, whilst at the same time opening up clever combination possibilities. For the following round, the cards already in the display are always retained; players draw new cards to their hand and can now build on those displayed cards or alter the distribution of the characters – depending on which strategy seems more lucrative at the time. Whoever has scored the most victory points after three rounds wins this family game after around twenty minutes.
Bloom Kingdom was developed by Christian Kudahl and Thomas Weber. The magical illustrations, which also feature the eponymous blooms, are the work of Axel Kuckuk alias Cuculum. The card game Bloom Kingdom is recommended for ages eight and over.
